Be a Business Trendsetter and CEO at #DMFB14

Want to be a business trendsetter?  Join Angel Quintana at Digital Marketing for Business on May 8th, to learn how. Angel, who is  Founder/CEO of Holistic Fashionista and the author of the upcoming book Mohawks to Catwalks, will share her strategies and secrets for how to break through and achieve success.

Angel is not shy about sharing her story of the struggles and challenges that plagues most up and coming entrepreneurs. “Trial and a ton of errors” is her response when asked how she got to where she is today, “My first business, I was a clothing designer. I didn’t know much about sales and marketing, which resulted in having to close my business because of extravagant credit card debt. It was a tough lesson to learn.”

After reading 300+ books on business and spending $20K on coaching, one day Angel realized that she still didn’t know how to make money.  It dawned on her, “I didn’t need more information.  I needed more individuality.”  It was that moment that Angel got into the art of personal branding and using it to attract her ideal customers.

As with all entrepreneurs, free advice came at Angel from all angles.  One piece of advice came after Angel received negative feedback about her website.  Taking the criticism to heart, she immediately went in and changed her website to please those who had criticized it.  It was then that she was told something that would stick with her throughout the years, “If one person tells you something you do not want to hear and then you go and change everything to please them, are you sure you are cut out to be as successful as you say you want to be?”  The advice Angel now gives to others is, “”The universe has a funny way of paving the path for you. If you’re smart, you’ll trust that the master plan is much bigger than you ever thought possible. My words of advice: being a trendsetter is NOT easy, but it’s original and that never goes out of style.”

Angel’s favorite thing about what she does it the fact that she can be her true self. It is also the lesson she brings to her presentation at DMFB, “Embrace your individuality. The tricky part is being brave enough to show who you really are even when it feels scary.” And how scary can it be?  According to Angel, “You’ll have to get use to hate mail and people unsubscribing from your newsletter, but when the real fans find you, they will love you forever and that’s the easiest word-of-mouth marketing tactic ever.”

Angel is an amazing success story and helps others reach that same level of accomplishment.  Four businesses and 17 years later Angel works at what she truly loves, “Today I’ve made it my business to help pioneers shorten the learning curve to successfully curate and launch a visionary business through the art of branding.” Connect with Angel on Twitter.
